Kapela Manic Street Preachers alternative, indie rocková kapela. Možno takou pikoškou je, že člen Richey James Edwards ( textár, gitara ) 1. februára 1995 záhadne zmizol a dodnes sa nevie, kde je a či je ešte nažive, asi mal toho dosť.
Kapela je v zložení: James Dean Bradfield ( spev, gitara ), Nicky Wire ( basgitara, občas spev ) a Sean Moore ( bubny. občas trúbka ). Na svojom konte majú už osem štúdiových albumov. V tomto roku prinášaju novinku, deviaty štúdiový album s názvom Journal for Plague Lover ( 2009 ).
